This seminar will cover the various ways of terminating the employment relationship and the ensuing consequences which may result for both the employer and the employee. Constructive dismissal, redundancies, collective redundancies, transfers of business, employee data protection rights upon termination and post-termination restrictive clauses will all be discussed. Reference will also be made to recent case law. In view of the current situation, this seminar will also tackle employment related coronavirus measures announced by the Maltese government to avoid mass redundancies.
