The Speakers
Av. Jeremy Mifsud Bonnici legal career began in 2018 with a prominent banking institution. Over the years, he has gained extensive experience in various in-house positions within both B2B and B2C gaming companies. Additionally, he has served as a key function official for legal and data privacy for a variety of online gaming companies. His legal expertise was further honed through a pupillage with the Office of the Attorney General, where he specialised in criminal law. Jeremy currently works as a legal and business advisor at CSB Group within the Regulated Industries team, specialising in the iGaming and Financial Services sectors. He supports clients in crucial areas including AML/CFT laws, Data Privacy, and Corporate Matters, ensuring regulatory compliance and offering expert legal advice. Jeremy has been involved in numerous academic quality assurance audits, and contributed to government boards in the areas of education.
Av. Luana Agius was conferred a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Malta in 2020, following the successful submission of her Dissertation entitled ‘A comparative analysis between the interpretation of in loco parentis under English law and that under Maltese law’. Thereafter, she read for and graduated with a degree in Master of Advocacy from the University of Malta in 2021. During her current tenure with CSB Group, Luana has been working in several areas of law, specialising mainly in Employment Law, Commercial Law and Maritime Law.
