These two training sessions will provide participants with a practical and comprehensive understanding of payroll taxation and fringe benefits in Malta. The programme will cover the taxation of employment income, the classification and treatment of fringe benefits, payroll compliance obligations, social security contributions, and the operation of the Final Settlement System (FSS). Participants will also gain insight into specific employment scenarios, including part-time work, employment exercised abroad, and maritime employment. The sessions will combine technical guidance with practical examples and payroll calculations to help attendees better understand the applicable rules and compliance requirements.
The Speaker
Letizia Grech Seychell is the Head of VAT and Tax at Atlantis Management Limited (AML) and a warranted Certified Public Accountant. She is an active member of the Malta Institute of Accountants and the Malta Institute of Taxation.
She graduated from the University of Malta with a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting and Economics in 2015 and subsequently obtained a Master in Accountancy in 2017. In 2018, she further specialised in taxation through the Professional Award in Taxation awarded by the Malta Institute of Taxation.
Letizia specialises in direct and indirect taxation, and has developed her expertise through advising a wide range of clients, from individuals to small and large enterprises on both compliance and advisory matters in local and international contexts. She has developed particular expertise in complex VAT matters relating to the yachting industry.
