- How profits are allocated to a company’s various tax accounts in terms of the Tax Accounting Rules;
- The tax implications arising upon a distribution of profits from the various tax accounts to resident shareholders and non-resident shareholders; and
- The tax implications on recipients of distributions from the different tax accounts in terms of the applicable withholding taxes and refunds available to recipients of distributions.
Isabel Ellul Pickard graduated with a Master in Accountancy from the University of Malta in 2015. Isabel is an Assistant Manager in the tax function at KPMG in Malta and has 4 years’ experience working in tax. In the local sphere, the profile of the client base which Isabel has worked on is usually local and international companies in a number of diverse industries such as the manufacturing industry, the hospitality industry, the information technology and the banking industry. Isabel is currently part of the Income Tax Compliance, Domestic Tax Advisory and Incentive Legislation teams of KPMG.
