The Consolidated Group (Income Tax) Rules came into force for financial periods commencing on or after 1 January 2019. In the past few years, the Malta tax authorities have also published guidance notes in this regard. The application of such rules and guidance can give rise to certain complexities in practice, which shall be covered in more detail during this session through a number of case studies.
The aim of this session is to provide a better understanding and increase awareness of the relevant Malta income tax considerations arising on the application of the fiscal consolidation regime in practice.
