This course provides a comprehensive overview of the winding-up process for companies under Maltese law as well as an introduction to the rules governing pre-insolvency procedures in Malta. Participants will explore:

• The legal framework governing voluntary and compulsory liquidations
• Practical considerations for stakeholders and common challenges during dissolution
• The role and duties of liquidators
• The Pre-Insolvency Act and its implications for Maltese companies

The Speaker

Chris Grech is an Associate at Ganado Advocates, forming part of the firm’s corporate finance team. He regularly assists clients with various corporate law-related matters, including mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructuring and general commercial law.

Chris also holds a specialisation in Competition law and provides advice to clients on antitrust and merger control. He further provides advice to clients on Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) law and assists them with FDI notifications.
