This course explores:

  • Calculating and analysing financial ratios, including liquidity, profitability, operating, solvency and stock market ratios.
  • Exploring the financial performance, financial position and cash flow of a company using a top-down approach
  • Using quantitative and qualitative techniques to try and predict financial performance.

A number of real-life case studies and financial statements of actual entities will be used for this session.

Speaker

Patrick Debattista is a senior Advisory professional with 13 years of experience in Financial Management, Valuations, Corporate Strategy and Taxation.  He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder and a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) by profession. Patrick read for an Executive Master’s degree in Financial Analysis from the University Carlos III in Madrid (Distinction) and a Bachelor of Accountancy (Honours) degree from the University of Malta.

Patrick teaches various modules at ACCA and post-graduate levels, including MBA and specialised Master’s degree courses.  He is also a visiting lecturer at the University of Malta.
